Barack Obama statue removed from Jakarta park after protests ! do you agree?

The bronze statue, inspired by a childhood photograph of a 10-year-old Barack Obama in shorts with a butterfly perched on an outstretched thumb, was moved on Monday to the nearby school the US president attended as a child. It had been targeted by critics since it was erected in the Jakarta park last December.

Detractors argued that an Indonesian hero should have been honoured instead, noting that Mr Obama still could pursue policies that hurt the interests of the world’s most populous Muslim nation.

Mr Obama, whose American mother married an Indonesian after divorcing his Kenyan father, went to school in the capital from 1967 to 1971 and is regarded fondly by most Indonesians.Edi Kusyanto, a teacher at the affluent government-run school Mr Obama attended, said the 43-inch-tall statue would be standing in the school grounds by the time the president visits Jakarta on March 20-22. – 02 Feb 2010

“There is no controversy about the statue being here. Everyone at the school welcomes it,” she said. The statue was erected with private funds raised by the Jakarta-based non-profit group Friends of Obama Foundation.

Ron Mullers, an American living in Jakarta who came up with the idea for the statue and raised money for it, declined to say whether he thought moving it was an over-reaction.

“It’s a beautiful statue and it had become a tourist attraction,” said Mr Mullers. “My feeling is that the park is a place where more Indonesian people can see it.

”But he said he was happy the statue might inspire the school’s students to follow their dreams.Heru Nugroho, who led a Facebook campaign to remove the statue, welcomed the move but added that the decision had taken too long. He said he would now drop court action seeking the statue’s removal.

Thug Pulls Gun on Vietnam Veteran, But LOOK Who’s Quicker on the Draw

On her return flight to Atlanta, Diane Hollified Cupp experience something she will never forget until the day she dies – for the best reasons possible. The Johnson City, Tennessee resident had been on vacation with her husband in Europe, touring the historic sites related to World War II. During one of the tours, the guide described how soldiers’ remains are found there all the time.

But on her return flight across the Atlantic, Cupp never expected to be honored by the presence of a war hero. When the flight from Germany landed in Atlanta, the captain announced that an Army private was onboard escorting the remains of a WWII soldier to his final resting place in Houston, Texas. And this person would get the privilege to get off the planet first.

As the Army Private proudly left the plane, the Iowa Ambassadors of Music Choir rose from their seats and began singing The Battle Hymn of the Republic. Not a more honorable departure could have been planned for the World War II hero and his Army private escort. And Cupp caught the awe-inspiring moment on camera…

When the video begins, you can hear the young high school performers singing:

Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
His truth is marching on.

They repeat the chorus of the famous Battle Hymn of the Republic several times with harmonic variations.

Question of the week: If you could take a vacation anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Cupp uploaded the video to her Facebook page and shared the following about the moment:

“On our flight from Germany there was an Army private in uniform that so happen to be escorting the remains of a WW11 Soldier back home to Houston. The pilot announced he would be exiting the plane first, as he got up to leave there were a group of young people who had been on tour in Europe all of a sudden they broke out singing Glory Hallelujah. Listen how beautiful!! Will bring a tear to your eye.”

If you watch carefully, you can see the choir director conducting the high school singers in the back of the plane.

Cupp and the other passengers on board were touched by the young people’s display of respect for the WWII veteran and the United States military.

“To see those young people do that just melted my heart,” Cupp told WSB-TV. “It was absolutely beautiful, to see the respect that these kids had, I just had to capture it,” Cupp said. “It was an awesome treat for me and something I will never forget.”

Cupp posted the video to her Facebook page where it has since gotten more than 1.8 million views. News agencies picked up the story and shared it with others around the country.

Watch the video below and see why everyone is applauding for Iowa’s Ambassadors of Music Choir.

As some commenters wrote on YouTube:

“These Millennials are first class human beings with their heads screwed on straight,” James Ray wrote.

“Although he’s not alive to know what’s going on, the choir’s actions set a good example for everyone else to follow regarding the life of a human being (regardless of whether that person was a soldier),” Brandon E. Smith shared.

What do you think about this choir’s special attention to the deceased veteran?

Flight Crew Takes A Knee And Walks Off, Leaving New Orleans Saints Stranded On Runway

The New Orleans Saints made the mistake of once again disrespecting our veterans, our country and our flag. After an embarrassing opening to a game with the worst ratings in Saints’ history, the players and coaches learned that their actions have consequences.

Both the pilot and co-pilot of the Boeing 737 the Saints use to travel are combat-hardened American heroes. They flew sorties over Baghdad with Saddam’s best weapons firing back.

They fought with their lives for your freedom and watched many of their friends die. Today they took a stand for those brave souls:

“We couldn’t be a party to the disrespect. We waited until we were cleared and last off the runway for the night , walked out of the cockpit, took a knee and deplaned. They’re not going anywhere until tomorrow.”

Looks like the group of thugs should have just considered themselves lucky they’re allowed to make millions for playing a game and stood with respect like they’re told to do in the league rulebook.

This week was the worst week in NFL history for ratings. Next week will be worse.

Black Man Nervous At How Cop Acts During Ticket, Then He Says To Follow Him

LaVonte Dell (left), Dell’s car (right)

A Michigan man was rolling down the road when he saw a police officer pull up behind him. The driver noticed the officer acting odd as he talked to him about his window tint being too dark, looking around inside his car from where he was standing. Then, the officer stopped and told the driver to follow him down the road.

LaVonte Dell had a feeling he was being stopped for his illegal tint, and he was right, but there was something else that Westland Police Officer Joshua Scaglione noticed as he started talking to him about the ticket. Appearing a little upset as they spoke, Dell said he noticed the cop getting choked up, and he wasn’t sure what about this seemingly routine stop on April 18 had moved him to tears.

According to WXYZ, Dell was particularly nervous about being pulled over because his 3-year-old daughter was in the backseat, and he didn’t want to deal with any trouble that day. She was also not in a car seat, which Scaglione noticed while discussing the tint issue. More expensive than a visibility ticket is a child endangerment charge for driving with your kid not securely fastened. However, seeing her sitting there brought tears to the cop’s eyes as he asked her father about it.

“I asked him why is she back there without a car seat,” Scaglione told the news station. “It’s not safe. He teared up a bit and told me he was going through some tough times.” This meant something specific to the officer, who immediately saw himself in the driver’s eyes, having suffered the same financial despair.

“I related to the fact that I’ve been in that situation before,” Scaglione explained. Rather than writing a ticket for any of it, the cop asked the father to follow him. The two drove to Walmart where they walked the aisles of the store together.

“You would have thought we were best friends,” Dell recalled about the surprise shopping trip. “No awkward silence. I learned about him. He learned about me.”

Scaglione with Dell and his daughter

Scaglione told Dell to pick out the perfect car seat for his daughter and that he would pay for it. “I realized this was the perfect opportunity to help him,” the officer said of the moment he chose to help this man, rather than making his situation in life worse with several tickets he could have issued that day. “Dell seems like a blue collar hard working guy who was doing the best he could for his family,” Scaglione said.

The father couldn’t believe the generosity being shown to him, and he thanked his new friend in blue for the help he so desperately needed. Dell took to social media to praise what this kindhearted, white cop did for a black man in need, who didn’t judge him like he had expected. ” … Don’t judge a book by its cover. You’d be surprised what comes of it,” he wrote, urging others to not be so quick to claim all cops are bad.

Officer Scaglione didn’t see skin color, he saw a need as well as himself in a sad circumstance he could personally relate to. Rather than keeping those thoughts inside and issuing a ticket, as he was within the right to do, he chose to make it better, which is all officers hope for when they put their badge on each day.

Twenty-second Circuit Court of Appeals Justice, Hansam Al Alallawalahi-Smith has made major headlines this week when he overturned a ruling out of Dearborn, Michigan and tried to implement Sharia Law. The ruling allowed two critical and violent tenets of Sharia Law to be practiced in the United States of America.

When he was asked why the feds have the right to allow a man to brutalize his wife for speaking with another man and to beat her nearly to death if she were to act on her impulses, the judge mentioned the systematic infusion clause and said that the Sharia Law should be allowed because the 14th Amendment guarantees them the rights guaranteed by the other states. The laws may be acceptable to savages, but here, in America, we have higher standards.

Alallaha-Smith stated that the 14th Amendment does not necessarily exclude foreign influence from being allowed by law, citing the Christmas Holiday as a perfect example:

“Christmas is a Christian holiday exclusively, yet, if you are a Muslim and you want to go about your day without being bothered you cannot because the laws of a city in a city in Rome take precedent over the First Amendment which guarantees no state-sponsored religion. A federal Christmas holiday is just that,” said Alallaha-Smith.

With that as a precedent, understanding that a higher court may reverse it, my decision is that items one and two on the docket are allowable between family members as prescribed by Sharia Law,” continued Alallaha-Smith.

The Democrats simply cannot stop complaining about this, claiming that since the appointment wasn’t Trump’s, he can’t use the precedent to fire him. Trump has responded that people always want him to think about the Office in these kinds of situations. His only statement was: “The Office had no choice but to let him go for the good of the country!”

Trump Posts Possibly the Most Powerful Photo of His Entire Presidency — ‘Show This to the NFL Players Who Still Kneel’

Kirsters Baish| President Donald Trump called out the NFL for their bad behavior last year when a string of National Anthem protests broke out among players. Self-entitled and overpaid athletes have decided that kneeling for the anthem is appropriate behavior. It all started with former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who claimed that he wouldn’t stand for an anthem which represents a country that he found oppressive.

Because of the boycott, there has been a huge drop in NFL ratings as well as attendance to games. reported:

According to USA Today, the average audience numbers across the entire spectrum of NFL’s broadcast networks –NBC, CBS, Fox, ESPN, and their private streaming outlet- fell by a stunning 10% from last year’s totals. Even worse, the ratings for the 2016 season were also down a stunning 8% from 2015. “NFL broadcasts had an average minute audience of 14.9 million compared to 16.5 million in 2016. CBS, Fox, NBC and ESPN had a smaller audience than 2016,” writes USA Today. “ESPN, which included its streaming audience, had the lowest drop among the four networks at a 7.7% decline. Fox had a 9.1% drop, NBC dipped 10.4% and CBS fell 11.2% compared to 2016.”

Former NFL fans see the protests and the refusal to stand for the anthem as a total lack of respect for our flag and for those who fight for everything it stands for. President Trump made the disrespect very clear when he retweeted a picture which he felt that every American should see. The NFL players who are still kneeling during the anthem should definitely see this.

The picture shows a woman laying on the grave of her late husband in a military cemetery. President Trump stated, “So beautiful…Show this picture to the NFL players who still kneel!”

The picture was captioned “This is why we stand” and the person who tweeted it, Corey Jones, stated “We stand to honor those who fought and died defending the greatest nation the world has ever known. God bless our vets!”

President Trump has tweeted a lot of criticisms of the NFL players who have decided to participate in the protest over the last football season, but this one was the most important tweet of all. This photo shows exactly what these overpaid athletes are disrespecting when they decide to kneel during the National Anthem. They are disrespecting the men and women who put their lives on the line to defend our freedoms and our country. Thank you, President Trump, for showing us what it’s all about.

CAUGHT: Terry Miles Found With Two Abducted Girls

Suspected killer/kidnapper Terry Miles has been captured.

Terry Miles has been captured and was found with the two abducted girls in Colorado, according to Round Rock Police Chief Allen Banks.

Miles was captured without incident after being on the run for days. Thank you all for looking, please spread the word that the girls are safe.

Original Story by Holly Matkin

Round Rock, TX – As investigators continue their search for two Texas girls and their abductor, numerous tips have led them to the state of Colorado, police said on Wednesday.

This is still a nationwide manhunt, and they could be anywhere. Please share on social media so we can find these kidnapped girls.

Terry Miles, 44, was recorded by a surveillance camera in Trinidad, Colorado on Dec. 30, 2017, Round Rock Police Chief Allen Banks said during a Wednesday press conference.

Although 14-year-old Lilianais Victoria Cake Griffith and 7-year-old Luluvioletta Mariposo Bandera-Margaret were not with him at that time, Chief Banks said that law enforcement in the area have received numerous tips from individuals who reported having seen the missing girls, even as recently as Wednesday.

“There have been sightings of the three in Colorado,” Chief Banks confirmed. “We know he was in the southern part of Colorado as late as Dec. 30…so we have a heavy presence in southern Colorado.”

A Texas AMBER Alert was cancelled on Wednesday, and a Colorado Amber Alert was activated just hours later, KTRK reported.

Chief Banks said investigators are still searching for the same vehicle – a gray 2017 Hyundai Accent bearing Texas license plate JGH9845.

The vehicle, a hatchback, also has a white sticker in the upper right corner of the back window.

Chief Banks urged the public to remain vigilant in keeping an eye out for the trio, especially at gas stations, convenience stores, truck stops and fast food restaurants.

Griffith is 5 feet, and weighs 100 pounds. She has brown eyes, braces, and a stud on the right side of her nose.

Bandera-Margaret is 4 feet 5 inches, and weighs 75 pounds. She has brown eyes and curly brown hair, with a slight bit of blond at the top of her head.

Miles is 6 feet 2 inches, and weighs 200 pounds. He wears glasses and may have a beard.

Police have been searching for Griffith, Bandera-Margaret, and Miles since Sunday, after the children’s mother, Tonya Bates was found dead in her Round Rock home.

Investigators believe that Miles was Bates’ roommate and said he is a person of interest in Bates’ suspicious death.

According to KXAN, Miles has a long history of violent offenses dating back to 1995, when he was sentenced to two years in prison in California after he was convicted of an inflicting corporal injury on a spouse/cohabitant offense in San Bernardino County.

He was out in less than a year, but was returned to prison twice for parole violations.

In 2002, Miles was sentenced to another two years in prison after he was convicted of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse/cohabitant and for threatening to hurt someone. He was released just over a year later, but was returned to the prison on three occasions due to parole violations.

In Louisiana, Sulphur Police Chief Lewis Coats said that in 2011, Miles attempted to kill a woman he was dating by strangling her, and staged her attempted suicide, KXAN reported.

“He had controlled her mentally and abused her mentally and she had actually filed a false report at the time to say she was raped by a suspect,” Chief Coats said. “But once she got away from his control, she was able to tell the truth — that it wasn’t a rape but a domestic abuse and he tried to strangle her.”

Miles was also the suspect in the 2014 murder of Pamela Parker in Sulphur, Louisiana.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff Tony Mancuso told KXAN that even though a grand jury failed to indict Miles for the Parker’s beating death due to lack of evidence, he still believes that Miles killed her.

“In this particular case in Round Rock it’s also a beating — which is the same manner of death [of Pamela Parker] — which was never disclosed before this time,” Sheriff Mancuso said. “We know that he likes to beat on women, because he’s got several domestic abuse, battery charges.”

Round Rock police have not released details of Bates’ death.

Miles is on probation in Louisiana, was a “person of interest” in a rape offense, and has numerous domestic violence charges on his record, KXAN reported.

In September of 2013, he was charged for pornography involving juveniles, but the case was dropped in 2015.

“Based on his criminal history, it’s obviously a huge concern,” Chief Banks said during the Wednesday press conference. “Our whole focus is to get these girls home safe.”

Please help spread the word by sharing on social media.

Police are requesting that anyone with information regarding the girls or Miles call 911, or contact the Round Rock Police Department at (512) 218-5516.

San Bernardino, CA – San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Deputy Lawrence Falce, 70, was murdered on Sunday, Dec. 31, 2017. He was off-duty at the time.

The incident occurred about 11 a.m., when Deputy Falce was driving his personal vehicle and was involved in a minor traffic crash at Kendall Drive and University Avenue.

After the crash, both drivers stopped and made contact. The other driver, Alonzo Leron Smith, attacked Deputy Falce hitting him once, which knocked him unconscious, according to the San Bernardino Police Department (SBPD).

The suspect tried to flee in his vehicle, and a good Samaritan rammed the car with his truck in an attempt to stop its escape.

Smith was able to escape, but was captured hours later at his girlfriend’s home.

VIDEO: Man Gets Tasered Then Well-Ventilated While Shooting At Cops

A suspect continued shooting at police even after he’d been hit with a Taser.

Warrington, FL – Authorities released dashcam video on Wednesday of an October police-involved shooting in Escambia County (video below).

The Florida Office of the State’s Attorney ruled the shooting of Demetric Carter by Escambia County Sheriff’s Office (ECSO) deputies was justified.

The incident began on Oct. 27, 2017 when 26-year-old Carter entered the Warrington Bank, and told the teller that they needed to call the police, according to a detailed report issued by the Office of the State Attorney.

When teller Melinda McCombs asked why she should call police, Carter told her again.

“I just need you to call the police. I don’t want to take it out on y’all,” Carter said.

McCombs called 911 and gave police a description of Carter, and reported the conversation that had taken place, police said.

ECSO Deputy Pat Roberts responded to the Warrington Bank, and after talking with tellers, he located Carter outside the bank and approached him.

As Deputy Roberts approached, Carter put his hands behind his back, and told the deputy not to come any closer.

Deputy Roberts then saw a gun hidden in Carter’s waistband, and ordered the suspect to get on his knees. Carter did not comply.

In the video, Carter ignored the deputy’s commands, walking around the parking lot, and moving his hands from the air to folded in front of him and then back up in the air while apparently testing limits.

At that point, the video showed two more deputies arrived to back up Deputy Roberts.

“Gun in the back pocket, Ron,” Deputy Roberts advised them over the radio as they approached.

The video showed Carter continued to ignore instructions to turn around, get down on his knees, and keep his hands where deputies could see them.

ECSO Deputies Crista Pope and Ronald Busbee took up positions on either side of Deputy Roberts.

The video showed Deputy Roberts ordered Carter to get down on his knees multiple times before taking action.

Once the deputy was flanked by other law enforcement, he put away his gun and got out his Taser.

The video showed Deputy Roberts told Carter twice he would tase him if he didn’t comply with commands.

Carter can clearly be seen reaching for the gun in his back pocket in the video.

The video showed Carter pulled his gun, and was hit with the Taser, which took him down.

Officers appeared to wait as the Taser took effect to see if they could avoid using deadly force.

Then Carters started shooting.

Deputies then provided Carter with a large collection of bullet-holes.

None of the deputies were injured. The suspect was taken to Baptist Hospital for emergency surgery and survived, according to WKRG.

Carter has been charged with three counts of attempted murder of law enforcement.

The report from the state’s attorney said that after Carter had been subdued, he told emergency medical responders that he was just trying to kill himself.

The Office of State’s Attorney determined the use of deadly force was “reasonable and justified,” and said no criminal charges would be filed against the deputies.

You can see a video of the shooting below. WARNING, graphic content:

Brett Decker: ‘Trump in One Year Is Already Better Than 16 Years’ of Bush, Obama ‘Put Together’

“Trump in one year is already better than sixteen years of [George W. Bush and Barack Obama] put together,” said former Wall Street Journal editor Brett M. Decker, pointing to a current 17-year high in consumer confidence.

Decker, an expert on Asia and the bestselling author of Bowing to Beijing: How Barack Obama Is Hastening America’s Decline and Ushering a Century of Chinese Domination, joined Friday’s edition of SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Tonight with Breitbart News’s Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon and Senior Editor-at-Large Rebecca Mansour.

“The leading indicator, when you dig into the data on why consumer confidence is high, is because people are anticipating higher wages,” said Decker. “The economy and consumer, they work logically. … What you’re seeing [are] the consequences of positive policy.”

President Donald Trump’s economic policies incentivize economic investment in America, said Decker, noting the mobility of capital in the modern era. “Businesses and consumers are [responding] logically” to the Trump administration’s economic policies, he added.

Decker rejected narratives crediting former President Barack Obama’s economic policies with recently developing economic figures during Trump’s presidential tenure, framing such assertions as “absolutely crazy”: “You look at the unemployment numbers, and it’s 4.1 percent. I look at Obama and Bush kind of combined, when I look at their block of sixteen years. Anyone that says this is inheriting some kind of Obama economy, he had eight years, and in 2010, the unemployment rate was 9.6 percent, absolutely crazy. … This idea that it has anything to do with Obama is absolutely crazy.”

Dropping unemployment rates, said Decker, will not be welcomed by all persons or interests. “Big business” interests, he said, prefer higher rates of unemployment given their depressive effects on wages. He also praised Trump’s emphasis on expanding domestic manufacturing. “When there are fewer people looking for jobs, you have to pay those few people more to take those jobs. What scares me about this is big business … seeing the unemployment numbers go down, and they’re like, ‘Oh, no. We’re going to have to pay these people more. We better call Paul Ryan and get him to flood us with cheap immigrant labor.’ So not everybody who looks at these numbers gets excited. There are different kinds of reactions.”

Decker went on to say that “one of [his] favorite things that Trump has done [was when] he was with some of the automakers, and he pointed to the head of Toyota of America, he said, ‘You have to build plants here.’ Within a short period of time, Toyota canceled a factory they were building in Mexico and said they were going to put it in the U.S., instead. What is that, a few thousand extra manufacturing jobs?”

Decker added, “Trade policy, I think, is one of the clearest areas where, if you look at the deindustrialization of America, how much government policy matters. The period between 1994, when NAFTA was passed, and 2014, a 20-year period … our trade deficit with [Canada and Mexico] went up 430 percent. … We get zero benefit out of these trade deals.”

America’s hemorrhaging of manufacturing jobs to other countries, said Decker, was economically disadvantageous: “Fundamentally, I think most people know in their heart of hearts, you can’t just be a consumer economy. If you want to consume anything, you have to make something. We’ve had decades of policy where we just decided we didn’t have to make anything anymore.”

Neo-conservative predictions of China’s political liberalization resulting from its deeper integration into the global economy had not borne out, said Bannon and Decker, with the former describing it as “one of biggest strategic mistakes” of modern Western political leadership.

Decker said, “This idea that you see among the neo-con right is, if you make [China] richer, eventually they’re gonna get more economic freedom. People are gonna demand more political freedom.” Bannon responded, “Oops. That was a miss,” and Decker agreed. “That was one of the biggest strategic mistakes,” said Bannon, adding, “When they look back at the history of this thing a hundred years from now, the Clinton and Bush administrations, the strategic miscalculation about China will go down in history as one of the greatest failures of the elites and the leadership of this country – the mid-nineties to up until, really, President Trump came on the scene, the whole ‘China’s gonna change.’”
