Female Cop Allowed Suspect To Beat Her Because She Was Afraid Of Backlash From Shooting Him

Chicago’s chief of police Eddie Johnson stated at a press conference Oct. 6 that a veteran officer did not shoot a man who was attacking her because she feared the media backlash.

The 17-year veteran was taken to hospital along with two colleagues after the assault, which took place on the morning of Oct. 5, KABC reported.

The unnamed officer responded to reports of a car crash on the west side of the city. When they arrived, they found a man under the influence of drugs.

The officer attempted to question the man about the incident, but he began assaulting her. He slammed the officer’s head on the pavement repeatedly.

“She thought she was going to die. She knew that she should shoot this guy, but she chose not to because she didn’t want her family or the department to have to go through the scrutiny the next day on national news,” Johnson said, according to KABC.

The incident was captured on a surveillance camera belonging to a nearby business.

“It is terrible. It is total disregard for law enforcement. They put their lives forward every day for us and to see somebody do this, to pummel the police officer is terrible. It is a terrible thing,” Louie Rainone, who owns the business, told KABC.

The Chicago Tribune noted that Johnson refused to declare whether shooting the 28-year-old would have been justified, saying he did not know the details of the incident. But he said officers could use lethal force in life threatening situations.

“This officer could (have) lost her life last night,” Johnson added, the Tribune reported. “She’s hospitalized right now, but she still has the spirit and the bravery that these officers and firefighters display every day — every day. We have to change the narrative of the law enforcement across this country.”

Dean Angelo, president of the Fraternal Order of Police, said police “don’t want to become the next YouTube video.”

Trust in the police in Chicago has been in decline due to previous shootings involving officers.

“Any fair-minded person acknowledges that police have a very difficult and dangerous job, and this sounds like a very unfortunate situation,” civil rights attorney Jon Loevy told the Tribune. “The hope is that the department and the community can work to repair some of the lost trust so that officers won’t always feel so second-guessed.”

The 28-year-old man has been arrested and will be charged for assaulting the three officers.

Kentucky Fried Chicken Vows To Give Free Meals For Anyone In Uniform. Do You Support This?

It has long been an unwritten policy of fast food franchises and convenience stores to offer perks to first responders, such as free coffee or lunches. It is good public relations and has the added benefit of fostering a good relationship with law enforcement and other emergency services personnel, should these businesses ever need to avail themselves of services. It certainly is not “quid pro quo,” but it is smart. One Kentucky Fried Chicken franchise in Ohio has taken that time honored policy, and made it public. They recently put up a sign on their entry doors declaring that cops eat free every day. And the response they have gotten will blow your mind.In light of the current public debate about law enforcement and their communities, a KFC franchise manager in Gallipolis, Ohio has decided to make a very public statement in support of area police officers.

The restaurant has placed a hand written sign on their front door that reads:“All uniformed police officers eat free everyday.”The sign has been seen by many as an indirect refutation of the Black Lives Matter organization, as some see any critique of law enforcement as a direct assault on law and order. Police supporters have countered the BLM with their own “Blue Lives Matter” and “All Lives Matter” memes, suggesting that their is somehow an increased level of peril for officers in recent times. This issue has been in the public arena for a few years now. Some reasons for the increased public concern for First Responder safety may include a general focus on gun-related crime, attention being brought to officer-related shootings by the Black Lives Matter movement, and a quantifiable, but slight, spike in violence against law enforcement officers this year.Statistically, however, violence against law enforcement is down from an historic high during the mid-1970’s, when the average number of police officers killed in the line of duty reached around 280 a year. In fact, current numbers are even down significantly from 2010, when more than 175 officers were killed in action, including 61 gun-related fatalities and 6 assaults. And, According to the FBI, there was an almost 20 percent decrease in the number of felonious deaths of police officers between 2014 to 215.The sign has been photographed and shared on Facebook over six thousand times, with another ten thousand “likes.”A number of people on both sides have commented on the restaurant’s policy, saying things like:“That’s wonderful. I feel all restaurants should do this for the men and women who protect us,even the men and women in the armed forces. God bless all who keep us safe.”- Sandra Lambrix“Outstanding! Hurrah for KFC!”- Steve Wicker“The Colonel would be proud. Keep up the good work”- Phillip Sebald“Police are not allowed to accept gratuities. It is and can be viewed as a bribe or a pay-to-play scheme. Look it up yourself.”- Robert“Awesome job you guys somebody’s finally decided to stick up for the police force but I have to say most people do…”- Patsy Burne“I wish veterans could get that respect.”- Debra JohnsonHow do you feel about the sign? Did you know that most fast food restaurants and convenience stores have been doing his for decades? Share your thoughts with us here.

School District Votes To Bring Back Paddling For Disobedient Students. Do You Support This?

On Tuesday one school district in Texas has brought back corporal punishment. Now students who misbehave in class will be paddled until they get better grades. Although there is little evidence that corporal punishment helps students focus better or improve their test scores, the Three Rivers Independent School board of trustees in south Texas think it will help. They are now shipping paddles to their teachers to be used as corporal punishment when students misbehave. And the teachers really need the device to control their students.

The Texas Classroom Teachers Association (TCTA) defines corporal punishment as

“deliberate infliction of physical pain by hitting, paddling, spanking, slapping or any other physical force used as a means of discipline.” The school district hopes that paddling will help improve classroom behavior so students can retain more information and improve the district’s falling test scores.

Although many parents are eager to get their kids signed up for the more aggressive in-school disciplinary action, parents are given the opportunity to opt in or opt out. They need to provide both written and verbal assent if they want their children paddled in the classroom. And many parents are signing up.

When parents approve the school’s disciplinary measure, the students “will receive one paddling for his or her infraction when they misbehave at school.”

The school district wants to give parents the opportunity to have their children paddled in class. They’re not forcing them to do it.
“If the parent is not comfortable with it, that’s the end of the discussion,” the school district’s superintendent Mary Springs told the Caller-Times.

Now when students disobey a teacher or break classroom rules, they’ll be paddled. Three Rivers Elementary School campus behavior coordinator, Andrew Amaro, is excited to bring back paddling. He pitched the idea to the school officials and told them that when he grew up paddling was used to great effect. He claims it is better than giving students detention or suspension.

“I believe it worked,” Amaro told the Caller-Times when asked about being paddled as a child. “It was an immediate response for me. I knew that if I got in trouble with a teacher and I was disrespectful, whatever the infraction was, I knew I was going to get a swat by the principal.”
Opposition to corporal punishment point to statistics that show students of color are disproportionally likely to receive a paddling.

Secretary of Education John B. King, Jr wrote a letter asking states to ban corporal punishment. But 22 states still allow it in their schools.

“Approximately 40,000 — or more than one-third — of those students who were subjected to corporal punishment are black; black students, by comparison, make up only 16 percent of the total public school student population,” King wrote. “Similarly, in states where students were subjected to corporal punishment, black boys were 1.8 times as likely as white boys to be subject to corporal punishment, and black girls were 2.9 times as likely as white girls to be subject to corporal punishment.”

Do you think paddling is fair? Or should it not be allowed?

Cop Sees Something Familiar On Homeless Man, Then Realizes What He Has

A homeless man, who was huddled on a sidewalk in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona, wasn’t hurting anyone, but he was apparently a bother to people coming and going from a nearby gas station. When the police arrived to address the situation, one officer sensed something familiar about the man. Upon closer inspection, the officer realized what he had and dropped to his knees in front of stunned onlookers.

Police Officer Mark Valenzuela (left), Phoenix, Arizona homeless man (right)
Raymond Celaya happened to be in the area Friday afternoon, and rather than intervening in the situation, he stood back and recorded what he witnessed. Phoenix Police Officer Mark Valenzuela had approached the unidentified homeless man with a question when he immediately took notice of what stunned him about the man’s feet.

They were bare, and it was cold outside, even for the typically mild Arizona city. But with no shoes or socks, he had walked his feet raw, and he couldn’t go another step. Officer Valenzuela thought something was very familiar to him when he looked at the homeless man’s feet.

While it’s common for the homeless to be without proper shoes, Officer Valenzuela realized at that moment that he had a pair of shoes that might fit this man, who had a much greater need for them. He grabbed the practically new footwear from his patrol car, but he didn’t just simply hand them to the homeless man. What he did next was a true act of selfless love for a stranger.

The officer asked the vagrant to have a seat on the back of his car and told him to get comfortable. He knelt before the needy man and dressed his feet in a warm pair of socks he had for him, before sliding each new shoe on the man’s feet. He took special care to make sure they fit him well and that they were comfortable. They didn’t just suffice, the shoes were his exact size.

The grateful homeless man reached into his pocket and grabbed a few bucks to give to the caring cop for the shoes. Officer Valenzuela told him that the gift didn’t come from him and that all glory goes to God. “He was just very thankful. I could see a little bit of money in his pocket, he had some dollar bills and some change,” the kind-hearted cop explained. “He wanted to pay me for the shoes and I just told him they were a gift from God.”

The shoes are a gift from God, as it’s not a coincidence that the right size was in the car of the cop who came to the scene that day. The officer’s servant heart is also a gift from God, and the homeless man offering to pay him is a sign of gratitude, which is one of the greatest gifts one can be blessed with. The officer did not only warm this man’s feet, he warmed his soul and let him know he’s not alone in this life.

Clint Eastwood Had Enough, Blows Up On Hillary And Obama… Liberals Are Furious

Recently, iconic Hollywood actor and director Clint Eastwood announced his support of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. He also expressed his lack of enthusiasm over the Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

Eastwood claims Trump is “on to something because secretly everybody’s getting tired of political correctness, kissing up. That’s the kiss-ass generation we’re in right now. We’re really in a p***y generation. Everybody’s walking on eggshells. We see people accusing people of being racist and all kinds of stuff.”

“When I grew up, those things weren’t called racist,” he continued. “And then when I did ‘Gran Torino’ even my associate said, ‘This is a really good script, but it’s politically incorrect.’ And I said, ‘Good. Let me read it tonight.’ The next morning, I came in and I threw it on his desk and I said, ‘We’re starting this immediately.’”

Steven Seagal Crushes National Anthem Kneelers And Democrats With One Brutal Rant

Steven Seagal held nothing back when he addressed those who have disrespected our country by kneeling during the National Anthem. They are “disgusting” and “a joke” he said.

“I believe in free speech. I believe that everyone’s entitled to their own opinion, but I don’t agree that they should hold the United States of America or the world hostage by taking a venue where people are tuning in to watch a football game and … imposing their political views,” Seagal stated.

He added, “I think it’s outrageous. I think it’s a joke. It’s disgusting. I respect the American flag. I myself have risked my life countless times for the American flag, and I don’t understand or agree with this kind of behavior. I think it’s an outrage.”

Steven Seagal directed this message at Democrats saying, “We have these Democrats that have this whole other agenda to kind of — when I say Democrats, it’s not just the Democrats — but there are this whole group of leftover Obama-ites and people that feel they should … overthrow Trump. Any decisions he makes, anything that he tries to do, he gets blocked so often from the … enemies within, so it’s very difficult for him to do anything.”

Colin Kaepernick Begs For A Job, Look What The Response Is

Last year, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick was soaking in the attention when he made headlines for sitting down during the national anthem before his games to protest racial inequality. But his methods were questionable and controversial, and combined with a season of abysmal performance, he got himself dropped from the NFL team.

Now, Kaepernick has been unable to find another team to sign him. For the past few months, the former quarterback has been claiming that he was blackballed by the ‘racist’ NFL. This accusation was shut down this week by ESPN’s Jeremy Schaap, who noted that Kaepernick has no evidence for his claims.

“[Y]ou cannot deny that he has been, to some degree, [a] distraction, whatever that means,” Schaap said, according to Breitbart. “There’s one thing that NFL owners, NFL general managers don’t want in a backup quarterback, we’ve heard this before, and it’s a distraction. And I think there’s a false equivalency sometimes made, ‘Ok, well, he’s better than [Blaine] Gabbert and Gabbert got signed.’ For what, $1 million? I think we know that Colin Kaepernick wants significantly more money than that.”

“If we’re going to throw around accusations that he’s being blackballed because of his political beliefs, I believe there should be some evidence,” he added. “And I haven’t seen it.”

Protestors Start Burning American Flags, Receive Instant Justice From Patriotic Bikers [VIDEO]

According to recent reports, a group of anti-NYPD protesters were forced to rely on the law enforcement they were disrespecting when they were approached by a group of angry bikers.

The protesters, called Disarm the Police, were engaging in a flag burning at Fort Green Park when they were confronted by 40 members of the Hallowed Sons Motorcycle Club.

“They lit the f**king flag and took off running once they got slapped once or twice,” one biker told reporters.

In an ironic turn of events, police ha dot step in to protect the anti-police group.

Actor And Proud Patriot Gary Sinise Receives Highest Honor That The Military Gives To Civilians

Actor Gary Sinise is best known for his voiceover declaring, “There’s strong, and then there’s Army strong.”

Ever since Sinise played Lt. Dan, a wounded combat veteran in Forrest Gump, he has taken on a deep relationship with wounded and disabled veterans throughout the world. He founded the Gary Sinise Foundation to help “defenders, veterans, first responders, and their families” by “creating and supporting unique programs designed to entertain, educate, inspire, strengthen, and build communities.”

In addition to his foundation, Sinise has also launched programs like R.I.S.E—which build specially adapted homes for severely wounded veterans; and Soaring Valor—which gifts WWII veterans the trip to pay their respects at the National Museum.

Now, Sinise is receiving the “highest award for distinguished public service”—something that is well deserved. The Marshall Medal is awarded for “selfless service to the United States of America” in “more than one area or under extraordinary circumstances.” It has been awarded to historical figures like Presidents Dwight D. Eisenhower, Gerald Ford, and George H.W. Bush.

“I am honored to be invited to receive the George Catlett Marshall Medal from the Association of the United States Army,” Sinise said in a recent statement. “It has been a great blessing to know there is something I can do to support the men and women in uniform who defend our nation, and I will look forward to expressing my gratitude in person at the Marshall Dinner.”

Breaking: NFL Ticket Sales Numbers Are in… Absolutely Brutal News for Anthem Haters

The NFL and its flag-disrespecting players just got the worst news possible, which is topping off a week of nothing but bad news.

First, one of the biggest broadcasters of football games announced that it would break its own policy and allow outraged fans to cancel their sports packages. We thought that was great. Little did we know what as to come.

Today recent ticket sales for the troubled league have been revealed — and they show that fans have declared all-out war on the NFL, hitting them right in the wallet.

The Washington Examiner has just reported that professional football ticket sales have plummeted nearly 20 percent this week compared to last week.

That information was based on data from TickPick, a major online ticket reseller. Specifically, the retail site reported a drop of 17.9 in the last week.

“We have seen a massive decrease in NFL ticket purchases this past week in comparison to years past. Week 3 seems to usually have less ticket orders than week 2, but this year ticket purchases are down more than 7 percent from this time last year,” TickPick representative Jack Slingland explained.

For a league that takes in a huge amount of revenue annually, a 17.9 percent drop in ticket sales could mean a loss of billions of dollars.

The football ticket sales expert stopped short of specifically blaming the NFL’s anti-anthem antics for the drop, but strongly hinted that this was the cause.

“[T]he conversation around the NFL this week has focused on the president’s comments as well as the players’ and owners’ reaction,” Slingland told The Washington Examiner.

“As viewers continue to abandon their NFL Sunday habits, both the number of ticket sales and the purchase price of tickets will drop.”

Given that the American people are squarely arrayed against the NFL, Slingland probably could have curried some goodwill from fans if he had just embraced the truth wholeheartedly — the American people are furious that multimillionaires think their lot in life is worse than the average American’s.

Showing just how out of touch the Trump-deranged liberals are, they actually didn’t see a problem with such an insane claim (I guess the derangement explains that, huh?).

They actually thought the American people would sit there to be lectured by people who make more money, saying that everyday Americans are the real problem. And just as they did before the last presidential election, left-leaning groups dramatically under-estimated the number of patriotic Americans who are fed up with being ignored and insulted.

Red-blooded Americans have had enough. If we haven’t reached the tipping point where they lose millions of fans over this, we’re almost there.

Let’s keep the heat on them! Please press “Share on Facebook” if you think the arrogant NFL is getting exactly what it deserves.
